About Adam

Adam joined Summitry in January 2019. As a Senior Financial Advisor, he works with the Private Client Group to provide advisory and planning services to the firm’s clients.

Prior to joining Summitry, Adam worked for a boutique advisory firm in Sacramento, helping to develop and implement holistic planning, investment, and tax services. He graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

A Bay Area native, Adam is thrilled to be a part of the Summitry team and live closer to his family. In his free time, he’s often curled up with a book and his Boston Terrier, Ellie.

What does “living your best Bay Area Life” mean to you?

Not being constrained. If I want to try a new cuisine, the world is available to me. A scenic hike? Five minutes away. Fascinating and intelligent people? I get to meet them every single day. It always feels like the world is at my fingertips.
Discuss a solution you provided for a client that you’re extremely proud of.

One of our clients came to us with an end-of-year dilemma – his stock options were expiring, and he was about to enter a blackout period. They were worried that they’d end up triggering a huge tax bill, and had no idea what to exercise. We ran a tax projection, analyzed his stock options, and gave them an actionable recommendation. Why am I proud? We did exactly what we should do for our clients. They come to us with a problem, and we give them a solution. We want our clients to be able to offload their most stressful decisions to us, and allow them to focus on what’s most important to them.
Describe a personal characteristic that makes you well-suited to help our clients.

I understand how valuable your time is. I view my relationship with clients as a problem solver. My job is to take your most complex financial decisions, analyze them, and help you make a decision in a timely manner. We’re here, watching for hidden risks and blind spots so you don’t have to. As much as what we do is about money, it’s about freeing you up to do the things you love.
