About Tom

Tom joined Summitry as a Principal and Business Development Manager. He is responsible for engaging with new clients and guiding them through the onboarding process with Summitry. He also works with our firm’s various strategic partners to develop new value-add opportunities. Tom has 10+ years of experience in the industry, specializing in high net worth families and their unique planning needs. Prior to joining Summitry, Tom most recently worked as a Group Manager at Fisher Investments. Tom graduated from UCLA with a degree in Political Science.

Tom was born-and-raised in the Bay Area, and lives with his wife and their identical twin sons in San Francisco. Tom enjoys spending time with his family, traveling the world, and cooking. Tom is also an avid Bay Area sports fan, and enjoys running, skiing, and hiking throughout California.

What does “living your best Bay Area Life” mean to you?

It means taking advantage of all of the different cultures, experiences, and outdoors that the Bay Area has at your disposal. I love going for a Saturday morning hike in Muir Woods followed by lunch at Sol Food, a fantastic little Puerto Rican restaurant in Mill Valley. Or going for a run in Golden Gate Park and grabbing a bite at a local microbrew afterward. Living in the Bay Area makes me appreciate both the beautiful part of the world that we live in, and all that different cultures and people have to share with each other.
Discuss a personal accomplishment that you’re particularly proud of.

Running my first half marathon was a big accomplishment! I used to despise running, and I dreaded the thought of even running one mile for exercise. My wife introduced me to running and I fell in love. My first half marathon was a physical and mental achievement that I will always cherish. I’ve since run my second and hope to run my third as well.
Three words to describe the Bay Area?

Diverse, ambitious, pioneering
