About Jason

Jason joined Summitry in June 2016. As an Equity Analyst, Jason assists research analysts in covering the portfolio and researching new investment ideas by building and maintaining valuations models.

Jason began his career in the industry at First Republic Investment Management. At Summitry, Jason was a part of the Private Client Group for 4 years before transitioning to the Investment Team. Jason received his BA in Business Management Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Jason is a CFA® charterholder.

In his free time, Jason enjoys visiting local coffee shops, watching the Los Angeles Lakers, and working out.

Q & A

What are your favorite pursuits outside of work?

Exploring coffee shops, attending sports events (mainly basketball, my team is the Lakers), EDM concerts.
Discuss a solution you provided for a client that you’re extremely proud of.

Helping a client realize that they don’t need to continue working at his highly stressful job, he and his wife can retire comfortably AND can choose between purchasing a yacht or a home in the Rockies.
If you volunteer for a charity, which one(s) and why?

Various homeless shelters or meal providers for the needy – The Salvation Army, City Team Oakland, YEAH Berkeley. If I were homeless, one of my biggest worries would be having a meal. The look on their faces as they receive their meals is so heartwarming and rewarding.
