Q & A

  • What drew you to the Bay Area? (If you’re a native, what kept you here?)

As a Bay Area native, I stayed due to the wealth of professional & outdoor opportunities available. The Bay Area will always be home, and I have enjoyed watching it grow and change throughout my lifetime.
  • What are your favorite pursuits outside of work?

Outside of work, my wife and I love to hike, spend time in and around the ocean, and share the wealth of wonderful Bay Area experiences with our two children. I also maintain a large collection of cacti and succulents, some of which were inherited from my father and date back to the early 1970s.
  • If you volunteer for a charity, which one(s) and why?

Nothing formal, but I have been involved with the Surfrider Foundation and a member/supporter of the Monterey Bay Aquarium since its inception. The Pacific Ocean is a wonderful resource and I strongly feel we must protect the diversity of life on our shores as well as educate future generations on its treasures.
