About Kenji

Kenji is a Client Service Specialist on the Operations Team at Summitry. It is Kenji’s primary responsibility to provide the best client experience by ensuring that client inquiries are implemented and communicated internally to his team.

Kenji enjoys working within the financial services industry, assisting clients, and creating the best experience possible. Prior to joining Summitry, Kenji served as an Operations Associate at a boutique RIA in Foster City, Agent at an insurance firm, and a former business owner. He is a proud first-generation graduate, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with majors in Finance and Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Kenji is a Bay Area Native and resides in Redwood City. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants and bars, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and his two dogs Scooter and Tank.

Q & A

  • What drew you to the Bay Area? (If you’re a native, what kept you here?)

    As a Bay Area native, the biggest thing that kept me here was the access to the best that California has to offer. Within a short drive, there is the beautiful city of San Francisco, beaches of Santa Cruz, scenic parks, and some of the best food from any cuisine you can imagine. The area features some of the best sporting teams in the nation, inclusive of my personal favorite, Golden State Warriors. You will come across some of the brightest, intelligent, and kind people here which keeps every day a new adventure.
  • Share a personal accomplishment that you’re particularly proud of.

    I am personally proud of completing college with a double major. As a first-generation student, it was very important to me that I attended college. I wanted to show to younger members of my family that it is possible and to be a model for them.
  • What are your favorite pursuits outside of work?

    The never-ending pursuit of happiness. We are all evolving in some way or another to become the person that we envision ourselves being. That vision is ever-changing as our situations move along with it. Each day is an opportunity to find what makes you happy and to continue the things that do.
