About Curt

Curt is an Investment Associate at Summitry. He works with the Investment Team, assisting analysts, portfolio managers, and traders with equity research, third-party manager research, strategic asset allocation, and trade execution. Prior to joining Summitry, Curt received a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and a B.A. degree in Economics from Chapman University. He was also an Investment Intern at The Interlink Group and part of his alma mater’s Investment Group. Outside of investing, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, exercising, and traveling.

Q & A

What drew you to the Bay Area? (If you’re a native, what kept you here?)

I am a Bay Area native. One of the things that kept me in the Bay Area was the unique lifestyle that’s offered. It's incredible that in one day, I can spend time at the beach and then head up to the mountains for some snow. This balance of nature and urban life makes it not only a great place to grow professionally but also to enjoy a variety of activities year-round
What are your favorite pursuits outside of work?

Outside of work, my favorite pursuits revolve around staying active and exploring nature. I love hiking with my three dogs on local trails like Waterdog Lake and Sugarloaf Hill. I also enjoy traveling and discovering new places, both around California and internationally. Whether it’s visiting national parks like Yosemite or finding a hidden beach along the coast, I’m always looking for new adventures.
If you volunteer for a charity, which one(s) and why?

I had the privilege of being a Mentor and Big Brother through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to support and guide my Mentee, helping him with personal growth and navigating challenges. I focused on being a positive role model, providing encouragement, and building a meaningful relationship that hopefully made a lasting impact. It was a great way for me to give back and help someone develop their potential.
