Job Summary

An Equity Research Intern assists our research analysts and portfolio managers in all aspects of the investment research process. This individual must have strong critical-thinking skills and work well individually as well as part of a team. A qualified candidate is a clear communicator, detail-oriented, has a high degree of follow-through, and handles multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, independent thinker with an interest in value investing and an eagerness to provide support to the investment team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the team’s core research including analyzing the competitive advantages of businesses, interpreting financial statements, and conducting comprehensive valuation analyses.
  • Assist our research team in covering existing portfolio holdings and researching new investment ideas.
  • Help build and maintain valuation models for both existing and potential portfolio holdings.
  • Support the research team on any research projects or client outreach.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of investment fundamentals.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Mature team player.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on projects effectively.

Salary & Benefits

  • Compensation will be contingent upon experience level.
