About Cindy

Cindy joined Summitry in January 2011 and in February of 2020 she went part-time. She returned to Summitry in March of 2021 as a full-time employee as the Finance and Systems Administrator. She is responsible for the firm’s financial reporting and budgeting, she oversees the technology needs of the firm as well as the implementation of new software. Cindy has an MBA from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Cal State San Bernardino.

Cindy was born and raised in Southern California and moved to San Francisco in the summer of 2007. Cindy enjoys snowboarding, hiking, running, going to the beach, basically anything outdoors. In her “spare time” you can find her picking up or dropping off her boys from various sports activities. She loves to travel and her favorite vacation spot will always be Ka’anapali.

Q & A

What are your favorite pursuits outside of work?

I enjoy hiking because it gets you outside and hikes are easy to do with kids. There is an abundance of hikes in San Francisco and many of them have amazing views. I enjoy reading; every once in a while I’ll read 3 books at the same time. It sounds like a lot but it’s usually a book on a kindle, an audiobook (for when I’m in the car) and my little one just got into chapter books so I’ll read to him before bed. I enjoy a good workout class, and recently I’ve been enjoying running outside and cycling (stationary bike to be precise).
What does “living your best Bay Area Life” mean to you?

To me, “living your best Bay Area life” means getting out there and exploring it! Whether you’re a native or just moved there, get out there and do the touristy things you’d do if you were in a new city on the other side of the world. There’s so much to see, do and eat in the Bay Area, I think we sometimes take it for granted and we keep going back to the places we know and are comfortable with.
What are some of the challenges you face living in the Bay Area?

Living in the city was always go, go, go.
